Lifeway Sundays
Our Sunday worship services happen at 10 am each week, with song, teaching, fellowship and Tribes, our children’s program.
Each Sunday we gather to give glory to God, experience God’s presence, and shape our lives around the way of Jesus. If you are seeking a way to connect with God and find community, peace and fellowship, then come along.
The shape of a Sunday
-
9:30am – Prayer meeting – In the prayer room, before the service. An opportunity to pray together for the wider community and for all that is happening in the life of the church. Everyone is welcome to join.
-
10:00am – Worship service – Song, teaching and fellowship together, with Tribes running for the children during the service.
What to expect
Song
We gather to give glory to God and to experience his presence together.
Teaching
Bible-centred teaching that helps us shape our lives around the way of Jesus.
Fellowship
Time to connect, to be known, and to find community, peace and friendship.
Tribes
Our children’s program, running during the service for ages 18 months to Grade 6.
Children on a Sunday
Our Sunday Tribes children’s program runs every Sunday during school terms, for children aged 18 months to Grade 6. Ministry to children and young people is one of our key values — our desire is that Lifeway is a place children love to belong, a place where they feel valued and safe, and a place where they can freely explore faith in Jesus.
Outside school terms, children stay with their families in the service — they are always welcome there, and no one minds the noise.
Coming for the first time
Come as you are
There is no dress code and nothing you need to bring or know beforehand. Arrive a few minutes early if you would like to find a seat and say hello, or slip in at 10 am and simply join in.
All ages together
We are a family orientated church and love the diversity of a congregation aged from nine months to ninety years old and beyond.
Finding us
We meet at 130 William Street, Devonport. If you are not sure where to go, ask anyone at the door — they will be glad to point you in the right direction.

Beyond Sunday morning
We recognise that our community goes well beyond our Sunday services, and we value the importance of living in relationship and community with each other. Through the year our Sundays also carry the bigger things we are part of — such as the Solstice Splash, our mid-winter swim at the Bluff followed by a hot lunch of soup and stodgy puddings, and May Mission Month, when we join with God in his restorative work across the street and across the world.
If you cannot make it along, or would like to catch up on what you missed, our sermons are available to listen to online.
