CITY LOVE
We want to invest in loving and connecting with our city. Bringing the good news of Jesus to all who we can and bringing kingdom values everywhere we go. We want Devonport to be a richer place because of the presence of Lifeway Baptist Church.
SPIRITUAL GROWTH
We want to invest in having a faith that is rich, transformative and powerful. We are a people of worship, prayer and growth.
BIBLE CENTRED TEACHING
We want to invest in knowing God and being transformed by him. We believe the Bible is our best tool in learning about God and the authority on matters of the Christian faith.
GLOBAL MISSIONS
We want to invest in seeing the message of Jesus taken to all corners of the globe. We want to support cross-cultural workers to develop unique indigenous Christian communities through the world.
COMMUNITY AND CARE
We want to invest in blessing and supporting one another. We believe that faith and discipleship happen in community. We want to eat, laugh, learn and pray together.
SOCIAL JUSTICE
We want to invest in seeing God’s kingdom breakthrough throughout the world. We are involved in a number of social justice and development projects throughout the world. We seek to live out the Micah 6 challenge to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly before God.
MINISTRY TO CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE
We want to invest in seeing new generations come to know Jesus. Children are the future of the church and are a vital part of our community.
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP
We want to invest in partnering with the other churches and organisations of our city and denomination. We believe that our desire to see Gods kingdom grow will be best achieved through partnership and cooperation.
